Juliette Cassidy is a Spanish photographer and director based between Paris and London. From documenting the stark realities of capitalism across the US to capturing untold global stories in Afghanistan, Senegal and Peru, her work transcends fashion photography to delve into evocative documentary storytelling.

Made in America for Walmart emerged from a mix of ideas that Cassidy had subconsciously been developing. Inspired by the Cohen brothers' blend of reality and fantasy, Diane Arbus' work and a growing curiosity about the Appalachians, the project explores how Walmart is deeply woven into the fabric of American middle and working-class life. This project documents twenty-one Walmart stores, examining the corporation's influence on rural American culture and its impact on the lives of those who rely on it.
