Cintia Tortosa is a self-taught photographer from Spain based in Kanagawa, Japan.

Screenshots from a Series of Videos about a Rice Field and its Surroundings began when Cintia moved to Japan in May 2021. The project captures the emotional freedom she experienced as a voyeur, observing the stories unfolding from the vantage point of her balcony. It documents the quiet rhythm of daily life: farmers tending to the rice fields, children walking to and from school, people fishing in the river and the passing presence of animals – each moment an intimate glimpse into a world in motion.
