William Zou is a photographer based between Shanghai and London.

He probes and remaps the narrative around identity politics. Focussing on queer and disaporic experiences through the lens of East Asian culture.

Soliloquy is his response to the lack of queer asian voices in the public realm. It seeks to address the so-called “Confucian Confusion” and untangle why many try so relentlessly to fit into the ‘perfect family’ archetype.
