un/fund info

un/fund is an independent, self-funded, international non-profit platform supporting un/signed and un/represented visual artists. We reinvest production income from un/produced into artist grants and tailored opportunities, transforming creative production into cultural investment. We are committed to championing new perspectives and widening access, opportunity and representation across the creative sector.

WHAT WE DO

Since 2022, un/fund has invested over €200,000 into supporting un/signed and un/represented visual artists through grants and programme-led opportunities.

In 2025, un/fund evolved from a single annual grant model into a multi-track programme designed to support artists in more targeted ways. Our current annual support now includes: one artist residency, one mentoring opportunity, one publishing prize and one €10,000 financial grant. All winners are selected by an external jury of industry professionals.

We deliver these opportunities through collaboration with like-minded organisations, including publishers such as Art Paper Editions, Loose Joints and Libraryman, and the interdisciplinary residency at Numeroventi.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to cultivate cross-cultural exchange by providing artists with the time, space and resources to realise their potential. Through connection, community and long-term support, we aim to build an ecosystem where emerging voices can thrive regardless of geography or circumstance.

OUR IMPACT

Our impact extends beyond funding. Supported artists have gone on to exhibit at leading institutions and festivals including Paris Photo, FOAM Amsterdam, Belfast Photo Festival, Grand Prix Images Vevey, IDFA Film Festival, Martin Parr Foundation, Palm Studios*, Vogue Photo Festival and Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP). Their work has also been featured in major publications including The Guardian, Creative Review, The New York Times, The Financial Times, Atmos, British Journal of Photography, AnOther Magazine, Art News, Vogue, PhMuseum, Aperture, It’s Nice That, Wallpaper Magazine, Dazed, Document Journal, Interview Magazine, 032c.

Through our award programme, partnerships and growing international network, we foster artistic experimentation, elevate emerging perspectives and help shape a more open creative landscape.
